Yesterday morning we went over to Corpus to the Texas State Aquarium. We hadn't been there in several years and they have added lots of "critters" and displays. They have dolphins, otters, alligators, snakes, frogs etc. There were only displays with big aquariums before. We enjoyed the dolphin training session with Kobe and Shadow. The otters were sleeping the whole time we were there. The other exhibits were very nice. It is an interesting, beautiful and educational place to spend a day (or a few hours). I especially like the "petting" ponds where you can interact with the sea creatures. There is a pond where you can hold hermit crabs and sea urchins and another one where you can "pet" sharks and sting rays. Fun, fun!
Wes was feeling worse by the hour, so we took him home and Sunny, Brian and I went to a BBQ place for a late lunch. Then they had to hit the road. Brian has a business meeting in Brenham, TX today. It was a fun holiday and we were glad to have them visit.
Our grandson in Colorado now has the same flu we had and they are awaiting another possible 18 inches of snow today and tonight.
Wes will still be recuperating today. I am going to try to get the boat cleaned up since it will be here in the driveway all day. Weather is not looking good for fishing today and tomorrow we will be taking our fifth wheel in for its diagnostic check up. I need to spend some time planning the trip to AZ.
Will post more later on.
