If you have never been to Branson, Missouri you will probably be as surprised as we were to discover it is very hilly there! We came from north of Branson and as we got closer the road became like a roller coaster - up and down pretty steep hills. We stayed at a beautiful state park a few miles from the Branson strip and we traveled down a narrow, winding road to get to it. Our site was on Table Rock Lake and we enjoyed walking on a nice paved walking and biking path which went about 3 miles along the lake. We visited the fish hatchery and the Table Rock Dam one day.

When you meet someone in Branson the first question they ask is "What shows have you seen?" There are too many shows to mention. We drove along the strip and saw many of the theatres. Comedy, music, variety, you name it - it's there. We went to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. It started off with a comedy/juggling act before the main show. It was fun. We then were seated in the arena. Dinner came with the show - all food you eat with your hands, including a whole rotisserie chicken. The show was fantastic - beautiful horses, beautiful costumes, great riders, comedy, and a contest between the north and the south. The south won, of course!
