Christy and John's Travels travel blog

We had planned to drive on to Adelaide, then back to Melbourne, but decided we were getting a bit tired of such long days in the car so decided to change our plans. Stopped an hour above Mt. Gambier in the town of Penola, set in the Coonawarra wine country.

Very good decision as it allowed us to visit several wineries, have a nice lunch and to indulge in an afternoon nap.

After getting some local opinions on where to go next, headed inland to the Grampians National Park for some hiking and critter spotting.
