This morning I left Lexington around 10:30. When I arrived back in Pecan Grove, my neighbor and his father were working around his Airstream trailer. He had to move his truck so I could get back into my space but he wasn’t annoyed by that. He told me that a contractor will build a deck for him tomorrow and wanted to make sure it wouldn’t bother me. He wants to make his place homey. He even told me I could sit there if I ever wanted to – a very neighborly gesture. Of course, I probably never will because I just don’t sit outdoors much.
After I had gotten set up, I went to pay my rent and to get my mail. On the way, I visited with Carrington MacDuffie and Ron Erwin a few minutes. They were getting ready to go to a birthday party where she will sing and he will play his drums with a group of other musicians. Carrington gave me a copy of her new CD, “Only an Angel”.
