This afternoon I had a follow-up visit with my doctor to discuss the results of my bone density scan and blood tests. The results of the blood tests showed very good improvements in cholesterol levels, lipids, triglycerides, etc., since my last test in July 2012. I was very relieved because I didn’t want to take statin drugs. My blood pressure also was very good: 124/70. However, I was not pleased to learn that my bone scan results were worse. I have to start taking Alendronate Sodium (Fosamax equivalent) for osteoporosis. Grrr! He also prescribed a cream for arthritis pain in my hands, which I hope will help.
In my mail was a red tote bag from Escapees RV Club as a gift for another of my photographs that was published in the last Escapees magazine. The subject for that issue was “Winter Wonderland”. Needless to say, I didn’t have very many of those; so I was very pleased that one of them was selected.
