Bistro 108 - Painted Patio Wall

By ten o’clock this morning I was on my way to La Grange to meet up with my Cen-Tex RV pals for our first campout of the year. The weather is predicted to be nice through the week end. This time we had only a dozen participants. I guess the recent cold weather discouraged some of the others.

Today I had lunch with Annette Dean, Ann Poole and Jeanette Lowell at Bistro 108 just off the town square. It was warm enough for us to eat outside on the patio, where we sat in the sunshine and out of the wind (which was just a gentle breeze).

In addition to my own vice presidential duties, I filled in this time for our new secretary, who was absent due to a death in her family. Our business meeting this afternoon was short.

Tonight the whole group had dinner at Sealand Seafood and Steaks. The food was good and our waiter was very efficient and attentive. After dinner we played table games for a while.

Today we just lazed around the clubhouse most of the time, playing games and visiting. We enjoyed the company of a young fellow, Chris, from Rhode Island who is bicycling around the country. He has a small tent, a few clothes and minimal supplies tied to his bicycle. He will be heading to Corpus Christi tomorrow. He is forty years old but looks much younger; he is very trim and fit. He had dinner with us tonight.
