Yesterday we moved from Quartzsite to the Colorado River Oasis RV park in Ehrenberg, AZ. It has got to be the record for our shortest trip so far - only 20 miles! We were fortunate that they had a riverside space available, so we are parked with our back window overlooking the Colorado River. We got set up and spent the rest of the day cleaning the desert dust out of the inside of the fifth wheel. This morning we went to the laundromat and did 3 weeks of laundry. This afternoon we are relaxing and taking it easy.
We have set several records this past month. We were able to double our boondocking time - 2 weeks without any hookups. We have not eaten out for about 3 weeks. Those of you who know me well know how much of a sacrifice that is! I am looking forward to getting back to Yuma, where there is a good choice of restaurants.
We had a great time in the desert with old friends and new friends. The down side to meeting all the wonderful new friends is that you have to say good bye. We have plans to meet up with some, keep in touch with others, and we look forward to having some of them visit at our "Home on the Range" this summer. We will be joining some of them at the Quartzsite Car Show this weekend.
