Wanderings and Side Trips travel blog

Another moving day. We packed up our rig and drove a couple of hours back to Yuma where we had reservations at Topfuel's lot. Upon our arrival, we learned that one of the neighbors had complained to the city/county about so many RVs parked on the lots in the neighborhood. (Duh - they are RV lots designed for RV parking) Since they had an official complaint, the city/county had to respond and were issuing sitations to any lot owner who had more than two RVs parked. Padriac and Willie and Jim and Jo were already parked on their lot, so we could not park there. We could have stayed in Ehrenberg a few more days or made other arrangements if we had known ahead of time. But the neighbors, Bill and Sheila, came to our rescue. They were expecting guests on Friday, but we could park in their lot until then. THANK YOU!!! We got parked and unhooked and met some of the Class of 05 at Mr. Fishes for lunch. We enjoyed the visiting and, of course, the eating. We had a little tour of Yuma and turned in early. We were tired!!

On Wednesday and Thursday, we shopped and worked on "projects" and visited and ATE. We fixed pancakes for dinner one night and fajitas the next night. On Thursday, we went to the Sam's Club to shop for supplies for a pancake breakfast we are fixing at the Gypsy Journal Rally. Well, we discovered a whole shopping mall! I just couldn't resist doing a little shopping. We had been looking for a small sized rice cooker for the RV and found that at Target. Also Valentine's Day cards. Wes and Padriac were shopping for metal and bolts etc. While they did that, I stayed in the car and caught up on some phone calls and reading. We were gone almost all day!! But at least I know where the mall is and can go back there whenever I want. :-)
