Travels for 2017-2018 travel blog

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, especially in Washington where it looks like you might get some snow! I regret that some of you did not receive your Christmas cards from the Kramer's this year. My address book is sitting on the kitchen table at home, "Blond high five" on my part! So if I didn't have your address in my phone and you got left out, I am sorry. So Joann, Steve W., Bob B., Fran and a few others you can get your "belated" card, with a letter, if you email me your address!

The weather down here has been pleasant at about 65 degrees and sunny, but very cold at night, down into the 30's. So all the early morning walkers around here are bundled up in winter coats, hats, and gloves. Its kind of amusing! Their blood has definitely thinned out!

All the goodies are made, including; fudge, cookies, and oven roasted Chex mix made the way my Mom used to make it. (It is a bit challenging to make in a small RV oven. I have to make it in 2 batches, very creatively!) When Lori and I were little girls my Mom would always make the Chex mix on the Sunday before Christmas, in a big blue roaster pan. It would come out of the oven right before Walt Disney came on the TV, and we would each get to have a coffee cup full of the warm Chex mix as we watched TV. So in our house the name for the Chex mix has always been "TV snacks", and it is to this day. The Chex mix you buy in the package at the store today cannot rival the original recipe, especially warm from the oven!

We are looking forward to going to church later today. The church I am attending has 5 services today to accommodate all the winter visitors! Our Pastor is encouraging all of us regular attenders to park out in the dusty field behind the parking lot to make room for all the visitors. It is so nice to be where God is honored as our Savior and King! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and May God Bless you!
