Our campsite from the bridge over the creek

We have the whole campground to ourselves!

Left from Lazy Acres around 10:00 on a sunny, clear day for the drive up I-75 to Mount Vernon, Kentucky. Would you believe we drove through London??? The hardest part was the Atlantic Ocean. Oh well, just being a bit silly was actually London, Kentucky that we drove through.

Arrived at the Renfro Valley RV Park around 1:00 and they gave us a site right by the creek...which actually was rather nice if you discount the mosquitoes. This is also an entertainment center that hosts bands, singers, comedians, etc. on the weekends. They also have midweek entertainment provided by their own groups. We're only here for 2 nights so we won't get to see any of the shows though.

This afternoon, Bob and I drove into "town" (and I use that term loosely) to pick up our mail and do some "look/see" driving and grab a geocache.

Nellie and I went for a geocache right here in the park that is about 183' away from our camsite. Would you believe it took us 20 minutes to get there??!! Walking a cat on a leash is quite different from walking a dog. While dogs just march along having a sniff here and there, cats have to stop every third step and look around, see if the nearby tree is worth climbing, walk another 3 steps, stop, look around...and so it goes. Add a wooden bridge over a creek into the picture and you really get nowhere fast! On the way back to the camper, I set her leash on long, put it down and just walked ahead. She would let me get a bit ahead and then she'd run and catch up. She likes the running part. She's now up on the bed, completely stretched out and asleep.

Tomorrow we leave for Fletcher, Ohio where we'll get the fender put on in addition to having a few other little things fixed. There's a campground right at the trailer place so that will be very convenient. They're having a woodcarver's festival there right now which should be interesting.
