Drove south on I-95 to Lake Worth where we stayed at John Prince County Park, a park operated by Palm Beach County. Yes, it is in a highly populated city area but, it is an absolute oasis located right next to the county air park. It is convenient to I-95 as well. Now, I don’t want to tell tales out of school, but rumor has it that Tank and Deb may have used this park as a “make out” spot when they were growing up, but that was more than forty years ago and things have really changed. The county has added a campground with large full service sites; all paved as well. The site we were on, Site 55, backed up to Lake Osbourne and was big enough for the rig and the jeep without any jockeying. There was a doggie fitness trail with weave poles and all kinds of neat exercises for the dog. Dixie enjoyed herself but particularly enjoyed chasing the Muscovy ducks that frequented the lake.

We saw so many incredible birds and the air was filled not only with the sounds of traffic and trains and airplanes but bird songs, cackles and cries. The bike path was more than five miles long and went entirely around the lake which is quite large. We didn’t launch the kayaks because we spent the day exploring Palm Beach. Nice to see how the other half lives. We did bike the park and took several long walks. I took hundreds of bird photos so….sorry but….that’s what you are seeing.

Should be in the Keys tomorrow!
