Attack #16-Lovely Los Osos
27 May - I hitched a ride with Betty and Charlie for another march through yet another quaint beach community. This one offered astounding views of Morro Bay and included the almost mile long boardwalk through the Elfin Forest, a diverse and complex assembly of natural plant communities that includes coastal brackish marsh, riparian woodland fringe, pygmy oak woodland, grassland, coastal dune scrub and oak manzanita. It supports 25 species of mammals (26 counting us), over 110 kinds of birds, and 11 species of reptiles and amphibians. A lovely place indeed.

Shortly after the march we proceeded to Morro Bay to eat, rest, and prepare for the next attack.
