Pulling into Auckland

Auckland with Sky Tower

Our ride to Auckland last night was more than a little rough. We were battling wind, rain, fog, and moderate swells. We can't really complain, though, the weather and cruise has been near perfect. There were a few really hot days, and a couple fairly windy days, but overall, the weather was great. Everyone was off to various shore excursions for the day since our flight is late. Auckland was founded in 1840 and today is the largest city in New Zealand. Auckland lies on the northern end of the north island of New Zeland, and is home to America's Cup. Our shore excursions today took us to the top of the Sky Tower, the tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere, a rainforest, a countryside farm, and a black sand beach. After our tours, we arrived at a hospitality room set up by Princess at the Crown Plaza Hotel to await our transfer to the Auckland airport. From there, we'll begin our long journey home. What an amazing trip this has been. We've seen some awesome sites, met interesting people, and just thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
