Our humble home looked and felt good. While we had a meaningful Christmas visit with our families, returning to "home" felt good. RVer's believe home is where you park it! We had a pleasant return trip; crossing the country via I-40. What a rough road! Cruising through the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee brought back beautiful memories of childhood. Nashville was a culinary treat-Bolton's Chicken & Fish Shack. Road Foodfood Book is loaded with local cuisine. Oklahoma City afforded us the opportunity to devour a delicious rib eye at the Cattleman's in Stockyard City. Along with the book, we had restaurant gift cards for the road. We ate very well and enjoyed it. Once you enter Oklahoma, the famous Route 66 is interwoven with the interstate. Also, the Trail of Tears ended basically in this state. The Indian influence can be appreciated at some of the rest areas. Oklahoma has picnic tables within tee pees; Texas, New Mexico , Arizona have adobe style huts. If you noticed, thenclosuresures protect a person from the winds. The effect of short or no trees. How did the truck get so full? The biggest gift received did not need to be unloaded or put away. We returned with our hearts and minds full of wonderful memories. Thank you to our families for a wonderful time.
