Mid Cook strait ... and it was cold!

The crossing from Wellington to Picton across Cooks Strait took 2hr 45min but was very interesting with lots of interesting birds. The scenery as we entered Tory Channel on the way to Queen Charlotte Sound was fabulous. We saw our first dolphins from a distance as coming into Picton. Arrived in Picton 11.15am so had time to explore on the bikes in the sunshine again before deciding on the campsite for nightfall.
