This morning I was up early because I needed to do laundry before leaving. I knew that I wouldn't have a convenient time to do it for several days after leaving Victoria. A little after 11:00 Jan and I headed to Canyon Lake to a Corps of Engineers' park. Along the way we stopped in a large parking lot in Nixon to eat lunch. This was my first caravan since acquiring Daisy, so it was the first time I had used my CB radio. It worked beautifully. I had never thought about how useful a CB radio would be until now.
We arrived at Potter's Creek Park around 3:30 and will be here for three days. It is a beautiful campground with large RV sites spaced well apart from each other. We already have seen about forty deer. Such beautiful, graceful creatures! They make their rounds twice a day, looking for handouts.
