This morning I was on the road a little before 11:00. On the way out of town I stopped in Del Valley to feed Daisy. I arrived at the campground in La Grange around 12:45. The weather was very nice.

After getting set up, Jan and I went to the nearby Subway for lunch; we had arrived at the same time. Tonight we had our usual abundant potluck dinner. We were very pleased to have three visitors: Nancy Riley (a neighbor in Austin), Charlie Rose from San Antonio and Leo Mullward from Lichfield, Staffordshire, England.

Today was another gorgeous day. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Nancy and I went with Jan to the Paperbacks Bookstore, which is her favorite of all bookstores. She sold a sack full of books and bought more than twice that many! I think she eats them for breakfast instead of cereal. :>) I bought one little book, “Over the Next Hill & Still Rolling” by Bob Phillips. It’s really funny.

The bookstore has a resident white three-legged cat. When she was two weeks old, a dog bit off the lower part of one of her hind legs. The mother cat was in process of moving the kittens to another location when it happened. While Nancy was standing by a table looking at a book, the cat jumped onto the table and started playing with the fringe on her purse.

After lunch Nancy and I walked along the river trail and got some nice photos. She loves photography, too.

Tonight we had dinner at the newly re-opened Kasper’s Steakhouse. I think it had been a hotel at one time. We were seated in the upstairs dining area. There were some interesting antiques and art pieces throughout the restaurant.

Today the predicted cold weather didn’t arrive, which didn’t bother us in the least!
