Another cold front blew in last night and our temperature is at or below freezing in the area today. I didn't want to go outdoors but I had to. I had back therapy this morning. According to the weather report, some streets in Austin were wet and, thus, could have icy patches. I decided that it would be a good idea to wear my hiking boots for better traction in case I encountered icy patches on the street or sidewalk. As it happened, I was in no danger. I'm extra cautious because a nasty fall on ice in 1986 is one of the reasons I'm having to have back therapy now.
