|After breakfast (we had Idlly dosa with jackfruit curry and another with milk and sugar washed down with a bit of tea and the sweet morning toddy), we headed out for a walk in the rain with Kavita's uncle. We stopped off at a chapel, which is a popular pilgramige site for Catholics. It was set on the top of a hill and had incredible views overlooking the town and countryside. It was beautiful. We also stopped in at the parish church and saw the ornate altar. Interestingly enough, the women sit on one side of the church and the men on the other.
For lunch, we had another yummy meal and were sent off with a care package of fresh jackfruit and jackfruit chips. We met very briefly with Kavita's cousin Beena before we caught our train to Coimbatore.
Our visit with Kavita's family was great. They are incredibly generous and kind folks who made us feel so at home!!
