Before leaving Myrtle Beach we decided to drive over and visit the Myrtle Beach State Park. We enjoyed shopping at a unique shop right on the fishing pier. I bought some really cool earrings shaped like whales. We sat and watched people fishing on the pier and the children playing in the sand. Along the far-reaching stretch of Grand Strand coastline, Myrtle Beach State Park sits nestled among oceanfront maritime forest.
It is a quiet, and peaceful escape from the otherwise bustling beach, the park provides educational opportunities, a nature trail and some of the best surf fishing South Carolina has to offer as well as stunning ocean. They also have a campground, we didn’t check it out this time. We are getting ready for our drive back to Jacksonville in the morning. Places like this make us want the retirement date to come much faster. We had a wonderful time and hate going home.
It started to rain so I only have a few pictures to add, hope you enjoy them. Check back later for more.
