Savannah, GA - CreekFireMotor Ranch - site 16, another view

Our maiden voyage for this trip was pretty well without incident and we arrived here in Savannah in about three hours for the 158 mile trip. We did take the new toll road (which is currently free) which is completed from I-10 south to about five miles from our home and it was a lot easier than going up through Orange Park which had been our previous route to get to I-95 north even though we missed the I-296 bypass and had to stay on I-10 all the way into Jacksonville. As it was all interstate with little to see Doris didn't take any travel pictures.

We are staying at the CreekFire RV Resort , AKA the CreekFire Motor Ranch, which is a very nice, rather new place Southwest of Savannah on highway 204 just off I-95, exit 94. We have a long, back-in with 50 amp full hookups, good Verizon, ATT and a clear shot to the satellite. Doris is still moving pretty slow but did a good job of getting me backed into our site and getting camp set up. I think her "good" left knee is giving her more problems than her new right knee but she plans on having that one done as well in November if all works out.

Our main purpose in staying here was to visit Doris' brother Danny and his wife Francine who moved here about a year ago from Tampa. We spent a little time yesterday and then some more today including a late lunch. It was great to see them again as we hadn't met up with them since last seeing them when we were staying at Florida's Lake Louisa State Park in December 2017. It was a very nice visit and we are now ready to head on up to our destination of Waynesville, NC but first we will spend one night near Kinards, SC just off I-26 above Columbia.
