Our trip from Livingston to Garryowen, MT was 186 miles of rain and dreary skies. We came through what would have been beautiful country if it hadn't been raining the entire trip. The trip itself was uneventful along an easy I-90 all the way.
We are staying at the 7th Ranch RV Camp
which is a large park about four miles SE of Garryowen, MT. Even though it is on a hill, they have tried to level the sites and they almost succeeded in the one given us! We have a 50 amp full hookup pull-through that is a little wider than usual out here. The driveway is gravel and the hookups in a good position. We have OK Verizon and the satellite dish finally found the satellite through the clouds. The bad part was the 1.5 mile trek on gravel road to get to the park once we turned of I-90 and its associated frontage road. It probably wouldn't have been too bad on a dry day but the rain had left the road less than desirable but we trudged on through. The big plus for this park is it's only about four miles from the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument
with the associated museums, etc. We had seen it few years back so it held no interest for us this trip though it is worth seeing if you are in this area. They have done a good job with a memorial to both the Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne warriors and to Custer and his men.
We did nothing here but relax and enjoy each other's company and, of course, Monday Night Football! This was our last stop in Montana as we will spending tomorrow night a little east of Gillette, Wyoming.
