Pre-game equipment training on Opening Day

Empty Stadium

Vendors waiting for the gates to open

We are volunteering at the ballpark again. The Peoria Sports Complex hosts the Padres and the Mariners. This year we are going to be ticket-takers, which means we scan the tickets with a hand-held bar code scanner and admit the fans to the park. We start 90 minutes before game time and are busy till about 15 minutes after the game starts. Then we are done so we grab a beer and a hot dog and find an empty seat to watch the game. Best job I ever had!
