7/1 – 7/12
During these twelve days:
>Joanne gave us a tour of Spokane’s historic Davenport Hotel and the Davenport Grand that just opened this month. The old Davenport was much more impressive than the new. We also went to the Spokane Courthouse, quite impressive on the outside but they did not spend a lot of money on the inside.
>Both of us finished various jobs around Jo’s house.
>Joan and Joanne went over to a friend’s house to watch one of the “last” Grateful Dead concerts.
>While living in Joanne and Chad’s yard we have observed a number of animals including four resident deer (bucks), a huge porcupine, squirrels and turkeys. Very entertaining.
>Ate at the 4 star Williams Seafood (2118 N Ruby St., Spokane 509-321-0747). The hot shrimp sandwich was delicious.
>On our last night Joanne and Chad threw a little dinner party for their friends. Ken was in charge of the enchiladas.
