First, I have included a picture of the place we ate dinner at while in Mystic, CT. It was the Mystic Pizza and I didn't even know it was famous from a movie of the same name.
Next day we hit the road and 3 of us rigs drove to Foxboro, MA and got settled in Normandy Farms Resort. It is probably one of the best rv parks we have been in. A little to pricey for us. First day was just settling in and getting some rest.
We are within throwing distance of Boston. So the next day we drove the truck in and searched cemeteries for my mothers grave. No luck. We went to a burger joint, but the line was 200 people long. We drove through some of the worst traffic in Boston. We went by Northeaster U, MIT, Harvard and Cambridge. We took the entire day.
The next day was our first day of touring Boston. We hopped on the bus at 7:30 AM. We went to the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock, toured around Cape Cod, went on a harbor tour at Hyanisport, saw the memorial to RFK, cranberry bogs, St Francis Xavier Church (where Rose Kennedy went twice a day). Then we ate lunch at Spanky's Clam Shack..... fantastic fish and chips..... I would have loved the fried clams.
Today we went on another bus tour. We saw Trinity Church, went to the top of the Prudencial Center building, toured around Boston, went to Fenway Park and saw the Green Monster, the Customs House, stopped at the USS Constitution, then Paul Revere's house.
We are tired and beat. Lots of walking today. Tomorrow is a travel day, going to Conway, New Hampshire. I have got my Boston accent down pretty good now.
