We left Langkawi by boat to Satun in Thailand and from there it was a 7 hour bus ride to Krabi. Hiro's fever had intensified on the freezing air-conditioned bus and by the time we reached the Sheraton Krabi Resort he was knocked out. This resort is just amazing, great pools and restaurants beachfront, and even has a resident elephant!

Hiro remained sick for the next 5 days which was the lentgh of our stay. Yes he missed out on enjoying such a great beach-front resort in Thailand while lexi made full use of great facilities by having a cocktail by the pool and massages head to toe.

On the 4th night, we got a doctor to come in to check him out as his fever over 39 degrees was not going down at all. He was given some antibiotics and some other medicines which brought fever down next day. I can't remember being this sick for at least 10years. Without having a proper blood test at a hospital the doctor could not diagnose what caused the fever, but it could be from mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue or malaria, or could be just some influenza. We basically don't know. Anyway he is better now, that's the main thing.

So we didn't get to enjoy much of this great part of Thailand, but last day we managed to go to Ao Nang Beach and Railay Beach. They are absolutely amazing beaches with emerald colored water surrounded by limestones karsts. We enjoyed swimming in the warm water at Railay Beach.

We are saying good bye to Krabi to go to Phuket!! We'll be back.
