Glenda's Adventures with Daisy 2006-07 travel blog

Aquarena Park, Texas State University, San Marcos

This morning Jan invited me to her rig for breakfast. She served raisin bread and egg whites scrambled with fresh mushrooms and pepper jack cheese. It was delicious. After breakfast we drove over to San Marcos to visit Aquarena Park where we rode in a glass-bottomed boat on the spring-fed lake. We could clearly see where the water bubbles up from the bottom of the lake. Several rare and endangered species live in it.

Before leaving San Marcos we stopped at Popeye's Chicken for a late lunch. Then we drove to Camping World at New Braunfels where Jan bought a cover for her tow bar.

Even though it was misting or lightly raining all day, we had a good time. The sun came out briefly late in the afternoon. We're hoping for a sunny day tomorrow for our next adventure.
