What hydrant?

Wednesday

Good day of driving across beautiful WI, MN and into ND. Left Iron City at 9, and got here in Grand Forks, ND about 4PM. There's a 2-day Sprint car (NST) race week-end here on Firday and Saturday, so thought we'd stay here and go to the races. The big players will be here, so that will make it particularly good. We have a nice site with electricity (thanks to a neighbor who leant us a huge extension cord). Looks like the retired folk have arrived early to get the best spots :) The locals are driving by to check out the satellite set-up (and report us to Homeland Security :)

Route 2 was very good the whole way - nice local sights, beautiful country, and scattered little towns along the way to break up the monotony. Most of the way was Cherokee country - in and out of rez lands much of the way. I think we're in Sioux country, now. We passed some markers that talked about the Oregon Trail - will have to look up where that went (besides Oregon!). Weather is hot and dry - a big difference from the soggy east coast!
