Although I was back in London it felt like I was in a whole new country. Since I had left, the weather had done a complete turn around & it was sunny & warm. No need to rug up before leaving the airport this time.
Mat & Eimear were fabulous enough to have me back to stay for my last few nights in London, so I headed to their place. As the weather was nice, we had a tasty dinner (Thanks Mat) up on the terrace and Eimear & I polished off a couple of bottles of wine while talking copious amounts of crap.
The next day I met back up with Alison & Nikki & new comer to London, Campbell who I hadn't seen for ages. It was great to catch up with them all over a very nice dinner at a Thai place in SoHo. Then we headed out on a bit of a bar hop.
After not really doing much sight seeing last time in London, Al, Campbell & I decided to head out the next day to do some proper tourist activities. I really wanted to go & see the Fashion & Textiles Museum that was set up by Zandra Rhodes, & after getting a bit lost & bumbling around a bit we finally found it. Surprise, surprise -our efforts to be proper tourists were crushed again. Closed for renovations! Just our luck. Again we just spent the day wandering & taking in the sights & sounds, before going back to Nik's place for dinner, drinks & a little nap, before heading out to The End, a drum & bass club in the city. The night was fun, a fitting end to our London experience. Then it was back to Nik's to pick up our stuff & say goodbye for who knows how long, until Nik decides to come back home & join us. After our goodbyes, we headed back to Mat & Eimers for a couple of hours sleep before heading to the airport, & a plane bound for Thailand.
