Downtown Salt Lake City

We had a wonderful time in Salt Lake City. We visited a lot of towns in the area including Park City, Utah, the home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. We also visited a ton of State Parks including Salt Lake City Marina State Park where we did a lot of geocaching. It was the most incredible place for caches because they had them hidden all around the lake. One of the caches was called “Wholly Mozus” and was the best I have ever seen.

We did a drive from Park City through the mountains and stopped at Deer Lake State Park as well as Wasatch Mountain State Park. Next we drove down through the canyon lands to Provo where we visited Utah Lake State Park. It is Utah's largest fresh water lake surrounded by mountains with more awesome views. Utah is one gorgeous state and we will definitely be back later to spend more time here. We only have four days left and we plan to have our oil changed in the RV etc. and get it ready for the trip to Alaska. We will be staying in Idaho next at the Bear Lake State Park, and then we have reservations for Yellowstone if the weather permits. They gave us a number to call before we try to go because they now have 20 feet of snow.

We are hoping the weather clears so we can stay there a week, then we head through Montana up through Canada to the Alaskan Highway. The closer we get the more excited we get. :-) I am posting a ton of pictures showing you all the places we visited. I took over 500 pictures here and it was hard to narrow them down but I did my best. I hope you enjoy them much!
