Tonight Inge, Dianne and I attended “Man and Superman” by George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) at the Long Center for the Performing Arts (www.thelongcenter.org). It is a comedy set in 1905. It is about the battle of the sexes, moral evolution and passionate debates and flirting. All the characters are unconventional. Acts I and II take place in London and Act III in Granada, Spain. It was rather lengthy but definitely not boring; it did not seem long to me. They omitted the “Don Juan in Hell” section of the play. The uncut version would have taken over four hours!
Since the Long Center is only about a half mile from the RV park, I decided to walk. It took me longer than the estimated 15 minutes, though! I thought I could walk faster than that. Dianne brought me home.
