When we came to Reno in September we planned to explore for the first month and just have fun. After our month of fun, we planned to get appointments for our annual physicals and have any repairs needed on our motorhome. We stop somewhere in America once each year just to take care of ourselves and whatever needs fixing on the RV. If we didn’t, it would be just like your home or car, you would have a piece of junk before you know it if you don’t keep it up. :-)

We are both finished with all our blood work and exams and we are both in great health. Our RV is taking quite a bit longer than planned. :-) We had to have parts for a new step and step motor that took time for them to find. We also have to replace one of our basement doors and that means having to match paint etc. They finally got all the parts in, our RV is older and it is sometimes harder to find the parts. The RV Shop loaned us one of their rental RV’s to move into while they do the work. Moving was a shock to us, we started on January 7 and finally got all moved in on the 9th. There is so much more stuff you need than you realize. It was also raining or snowing the whole time of the move. :-) The loaner RV did not have anything in it, we had to bring dishes and everything but the kitchen sink. We will be in this RV for about 10 days to two weeks, hopefully even less.

This experience of moving into another RV that is smaller and has windows placed in opposite positions has taught me a lot. I feel like I am in a box and can’t see out unless I turn around backward. I could not see my bird feeders or the mountains or even see out. We did move the feeders to a tree on the opposite side, that helped a lot. Even though we are in the exact site at the same RV park, having a different unit to stay in made it feel like a totally different campground. Now I understand how so many RV Park Reviews are different about the exact same campground and differ so much from our experience. I LOVE this campground in my RV because I have huge windows to look out and see my birds and mountains, I would give it five stars in my RV and about two in this one.

We are still most appreciative of the RV loan without cost from the RV Repair Shop, but...we will definitely be happy when moving day gets here and we are moving back into our home. It has certainly made me appreciate my RV much more. I can’t help but wonder now if some of our friends who bought RV’s and retired, ended up going back home to regular houses instead of RV’s because they made the wrong choice in RV. I know if I had to stay in this one I would move back into my house again. Don’t take me wrong, we are definitely not ready to move back home yet. We can’t wait to get back into our home and get on the road again. :-) It was just amazing to me to see how different my experience of camping is just because we are in a different RV. We will be leaving for Las Vegas as soon as our RV repair is done. Check back later for more from Nevada.
