It Was Raining But Still Awesome

Last One!

We left Valdez this morning and drove 250 miles to Tok, Alaska. The drive was spectacular!!!! The leaves are changing and glowing with all the autumn colors. I have a very slow connection but will try to add some of the pictures to show you the awesome views.

On the way to Tok we saw a huge truck with a ton of fruit and vegetables for sale. We had heard about the locals buying from such trucks at very special prices. This was not the case with this one. He had one watermelon left and wanted $20 for it. Yikes! I could not believe his prices. Jerry did get a few donut peaches and I got some tomatoes and a few apples and it was $15. We will be very happy to see a Walmart again. :-)

We are staying at the Tok RV Village for one night. Even with the Good Sam discount rate it was still $40. It is a beautiful campground and we have a wonderful site. They gave us the pick of the park. We got a pull through way down on the end with lots of nice trees and space. We will be heading toward Haines Junction tomorrow. More later from the Alaskan Highway.
