1972 Shasta StarFlyte Travel Trailer

This morning my chiropractor loaned me a dual Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS) / Electrical Muscle Stimulator (EMS). I had to buy the multiple-use self-adhesive electrodes. The device sends electrical impulses to certain parts of the body to block pain signals. The currents are mild but they can prevent pain messages from being transmitted to the brain and may raise the level of endorphins (natural pain killers produced by the brain). This one has several pre-set stimulating programs (slow or fast tapping, vibrating and kneading) at various intensities. The timer can be set for 15, 20 or 60 minutes. If the stimulator helps with my back pain, I can buy it from him. I certainly hope it will help because I’ve had a lot of pain for the last 3-4 weeks.

At the Senior Center we had Brunswick stew for lunch. It was good. Most of the people were wearing green so I didn’t get to pinch anyone. :>)

When I got back home, a couple from Salado had just moved their vintage trailer into the site next to me. It is a 1972 Shasta StarFlyte, which they are in process of restoring. They’re here just for tonight to take in a little of the South by Southwest Music Festival and will be leaving for the coast tomorrow. They gave me one of their Irish bead necklaces with a little pin attached that reads "Lucky Irish". It has blinking green lights that can be turned on and off.
