Today we drove about 140 miles on the Pacific Hyw to Brookings, Oregon. The drive was filled with outstanding views of the incredible Oregon coast. We were so happy they have a lot of pullovers so you can stop and enjoy the beauty. The weather was great, except for a bit of fog, that cleared quickly.

We arrived at the Beach Front RV Park around three. Our campsite is only about 125 feet from the beach. We plan to do a lot of walking on the beach. It has been in the 50's, which seems like the 80's to us now, after spending months in the snow. I thoroughly enjoyed wearing my sandals yesterday for the first time in months. :-)

The only complaint I have with this campground, is the local traffic. It must be the only public access to the beach in the area. Between us and the beach is a one row parking area and it seems to stay filled. I don't know if it's because it's spring break here or if it's like this all the time, but it feels like Grand Central Station. :-) I am hoping it calms down soon. The price was certainly right. We are paying $22 a night and we have full hook-ups. Not a bad deal for right on the beach. We are only 4 miles from California and plan to do a lot of exploring this week. More later from Brookings.
