There was a lot going on at CARE today. Right after lunch we had a Native American flute concert featuring Carl Perry and Randy Motz. Randy’s wife, Georgia, did a slide show of the beautiful photos she had taken on one of their trips to Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, as well as other locations in the Southwest.
First, I played three songs that were partly about “love” or at least skirting on the edge : “You Are My Sunshine”, “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean” and “Greensleeves”. I didn’t do as well in the concert as I did during my practice sessions at home. Funny thing about that. :>)
After the concert, we had a Valentine’s Day party in the dining room, hosted by three local health care agencies, for the Adult Day Care participants and CARE residents. They provided an abundance of snacks and drinks for us; and our nurse, Judy Burchfield, emceed the activities: karaoke singing, dancing and drawings for door prizes. We all received a long-stemmed rose, too. It was fun.
