It was a much better 184 mile trip from Garryowen, MT to Rozet, WY than the last few trips under rainy skies. We had good weather and good roads as we came south and then east along I-90. We climbed and descended many hills, usually peaking about 5,000 feet before descending a few hundred feet over and over. The terrain was mostly high desert until we were in Wyoming a little while but still didn't improve much. Rozet is about 15 miles east of Gillette but had the only campground rated above a 5 out of 10 in the area!
We are staying at the All Seasons RV Park
just outside Rozet, a small town listed with a population of 25 on the welcome sign!! It is a newer park but still needs quite a bit of work getting the sites reasonably level. The sites are very wide and plenty long with 50 amp full hookups but the sewer is all the way to the rear of the site. There are no trees so the satellite came in easily and we have great Verizon since we are only a couple of miles from I-90.
Right after arriving we headed back into Gillette with Libby so we could take advantage of our first Wal-Mart in a while to stock up on some items - the most important being 10 pounds of carrots to feed the burros in Custer State Park. :-)We didn't do much else here but catch up on a few maintenance items and relax.
Tomorrow, we head to Custer State Park for a week's stay to watch football and drive the wildlife loop a few times.
