Heart of Alaska RV Caravan travel blog

This was a lazy day. Evelyn did the laundry. We both read a lot. No “real work” was done.

In the evening we had another social. By this time everyone had arrived. The biggest event of the gathering was the induction of the sheriff. We were told that at the end of the trip we are to have an ice cream social. The money to pay for it will come from fines. One can be fined for not wearing their name badge. This is a good thing because now people like me will be able to call people by name. You can also be fined for embarrassing incidents such as forgetting to put down your antenna before leaving the Park. We don’t know yet what else we will be fined for. The sheriff is responsible for collecting the fines. Since we are politically correct, we also inducted a deputy sheriff of the other gender.
