Taking Delivery...Part 2
Jul 1, 2011
|It is July 1st and we managed to get many things done today.
In spite of our best efforts we were not finished by 5:00 yesterday evening so we chose to stay overnight on the lot at Wheels RV.
They added water to our fresh water tank and we were plugged into 50 amp service, so we were good for the night.
We slept ok but not great on the queen sized mattress. We wished we had our Sleep Comfort mattress back.
Our water tasted of plastic so we chose to delay our morning coffee until we went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.
There we enjoyed a nice breakfast and several cups of delicious coffee.
Back at Wheels, we finished up the paperwork and I opted to purchase the seven year extended warranty. It paid off for us with the other RV and they have a money back deal, so that if we never use it, we get our money back. OK!
We were ready to leave the RV lot by 10:30 AM but a guy was coming to replace a mirrored closet door which was damaged.
We wanted that fixed before we left so we waited around.
Christie called DRV to ask about the parts for the changes we asked to be made, and they are sending them to Wheels RV inside a new coach being delivered early next week. That will save the shipping cost and when they arrive, it will take two days to install the new design dining room table, the fireplace, and the king, Sleep Number bed.
Then we will be on the road again, heading to Colorado. It seems like an attainable goal now, where a few days ago I feared that we might not get there at all this summer.
We hope to be at Mountaindale by next Saturday.
Today we left Wheels RV around 2:00 PM, drove about 10 miles to a very nice little RV Park with Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Full 50 amp hookups, concrete pads, and a golf course to look at out the picture window.
By 3:00 we were all set up, and sitting outdoors in the shade with a cold drink. The 96 degree temperature soon drove us indoors where we enjoyed the A/C and computer access.
The Wi-Fi is appreciated even though it isn’t very fast and I won’t try to post the pictures we have until we get better speed.
For now we are relaxing and ready to enjoy a happy and enjoyable 4th of July.
We hope that all of you good folks enjoy the same.
Please keep those with medical issues in your prayers.
Remember folks, Life is Good!
