It was a short drive of only 30 miles, from the Army resort at Pointes West into Augusta but, the move was needed. Needed for us, because the drive into town and our kids home was 28 miles one-way, now it'll be 4.5 miles one-way. That saves us many dollars and miles on our beloved truck. You won't find Heritage RV Park in any of the RV site books, they have plenty of return customers and don't have to advertise! We got a month for about $390 They don't have any amenities, no laundry, lodges and all that, but they have good level FHU sites all with 20-30-50 amp electric. Our site is one of the newest sites, with large cement pad, grass surround, flowery bushes with concrete curbing. We were so impressed upon arrival, we asked to be extended for another month. We were first going to just stay one month, Nov 10 thru Dec 10, going back out to Pointes West for our last month. If you're interested in visiting Augusta and staying here, check out the park on their site. www.heritagervpark.com The phone number is 706-863-3333 Umm, don't expect to stay here during the month of April and the playing of THE MASTERS at Augusta National Golf Course. It's full with reservations and they command a much higher price.

Lastly, we notice the water pressure was decreasing day by day on our last few days back at Pointes West. Dave changed the filters and found they were nearly blocked after only five weeks of use. More reason for you, our dear reader to consider getting a good quality 10 inch, 5 micron, carbon block water filter. You've seen the pictures, be safe out there.
