We had another superb day in Yosemite National Park. This time we visited Washburn Point and Glacier Point. It was one of the most incredible places we have ever seen. It's stunning beauty is beyond imagination. It is hard to capture the beauty in pictures, but we tried. We took a ton of them. :-)
The drive into the park was a bit of a challenge. They had a lot of construction going on and we had to wait on a pilot car to let our lane go. This is the first pilot car we have seen since our trip to Alaska. We were surprised that it moved along pretty fast and we only had to wait about 10 minutes.
Our first stop of the day was Washburn Point. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Huge waterfalls that looked like they were miles below. A lady in the park offered to take a picture of us together, this is now our new journal picture on the main page. :-) I can't think of a better background than Yosemite.
Our next stop was Glacier Point where we got another superb view of Half Dome, towering more than 3,000 feet above Yosemite Valley. We also took pictures showing you how far the valley was below. It was an incredible day and one we will never forget. More later from California.
