Mission Bells Ringing

We have been very lazy lately. :-) We did manage to visit the Mission San Diego de Alcala.

San Diego de Alcala, the first of the great California Missions, marks the birthplace of Christianity in the far West. It is California's first church. It was the first of the 21 missions and is known as the Mother of the Missions. It was founded on July 16, 1769 by Junipero Serra.

We enjoyed walking around the courtyard with the beautiful fountains, flowers and much more. I am adding a ton of pictures to show you how beautiful it was. More later from San Diego.
