Last one! Old barn on the way back home

Today we drove about 14 miles to visit Bass Lake, CA. The lake was absolutely beautiful. Bass Lake is a freshwater artificial lake in the Sierra National Forest, located 14 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. The lake is a tributary to the San Joaquin River.

Most of the land around the lake is part of the Sierra National Forest. The U.S. Forest Service designated the lake an official Recreation Area and has developed campgrounds and picnic areas on the south shore of the lake.

The north shore of the lake is primarily made up of private cabins and homes of the community, Bass Lake, California, with a year-round population of 2,195. The elevation is 3415 feet.

The water was an outstanding blue color. We saw a lot of people swimming with their dogs. We are planning a trip back to spend the day and have a picnic and swim with Ollie. I took a ton of pictures, most will be added later when we have faster connections, so please check back. More later from California.
