Last Thursday we traveled to our daughter's home in McPherson, KS. She lives on a farm between McPherson and Lindsborg, KS. Our daughter, Sunny, is an outstanding scrapbooker and she travels to a couple of scrapbook conferences each year. This year she traveled to Nashville, TN and we stayed at her home to babysit the horses, cows and the dog. It just turns out that her husband, Brian, was working in town so he was also home. We had a good visit with him. Wes had his final dental appointment and a check up with a doctor in Wichita. Hopefully we are done with doctor appointments now until next spring when we get back home from traveling.
Brian was building a truck bed for his pickup and he finished that up while we were there. Wes will help him with the wiring for the lights etc., when he is ready for that step. I had a good time shopping at one of my favorite stores, Cooks Nook, and we stocked up on groceries from Sam's Club.
We arrived home on Tuesday, August 28 and had a few days to get all the mowing done and the house cleaned before our other daughter, Suzy, and her family arrived for the Labor Day weekend.
Also, in this week, we gave blood at the local blood drive, celebrated one of our favorite waitresses' birthday, bid farewell to our friends who live in Connecticut, gave Sophie another tomato juice bath followed up by a regular bath.
Wes finally got the skunk and hauled it off. We haven't seen any others since then.:-)
The weather is cooling down - mostly 80's in the daytime and 60's at night. Great sleeping weather!
