Gungsang on day 17 - 3 days later we did the Pass

We are now on day 8 of the trek, getting acclimatized to the altitude here (3500meters)in Manang, in the last place with (expensive) internet access for about 7 to 10 days (based on our pace). We're doing fantastic, and we haven't seen any of the activities that are making the news back home - we are so far away from Kathmandu in the mountains, and will not return until after the elections.

When we next have internet access, we'll find out what's going on and make decicions based on that. We aren't taking any public transportation or anything - just our feet! There are only trekkers and porters this high in the mountains. We will likely next have internet access in either Jomson or Marpha on the other side of the pass - 7 to 10 days, 100 kms, and lots of meters up, then down.
