Heather, Chris, Katy and Gary in Chris and Kati's house in Romsey

Friday April 18

We awoke early this morning, showered and packed, ready to leave after breakfast. Gary and Richard washed the car while Pat made a hot breakfast of bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs.

We took a few photographs in the garden and were soon on our way. We stopped for petrol in Carmarthen and attempted to buy a SD card reader for the iPad at a Curries computer store (no luck). A salesman told us that there was an Apple retail store in the centre of town so we made our way there and finally managed to buy the necessary card reader to enable us to transfer the photos from the cameras to the iPad.

We left Carmarthen and headed for the M4. We late stopped for a coffee and also left the M4 to drive towards Badminton where we parked for a picnic lunch that we had bought earlier.

After lunch, we drove to Romsey to stay at Chris and Katy's house where we met their 7 month old daughter Edie for the first time. Katy's mother and father (Michael and Christine) joined us for really nice dinner (chicken with mushrooms, mashed potato, carrots and green beans followed by fresh fruit salad and homemade ice cream) and we had a very pleasant evening. Edie was a treat and delighted everyone all night.
