Attack #13-Picturesque Pismo25 May - Our second attack of the day took us to the beautiful coastal community of Pismo Beach. It was initially tough finding a parking place, but I got lucky and found a spot in a near empty lot overlooking the mighty Pacific O. It offered some of the best, if not the best, views of the ocean, with it’s crashing waves onto the rocky shores and cliffs, that I’ve ever had from my rig. The march took us to the beach for more marvelous vistas of the coast, and along city streets where quaint beach shacks were spotted amid multi-million dollar homes.
We had planned to return to the Walmart in Santa Maria after the attack on Pismo, but after receiving the unfriendly flyers last night, we reconsidered and decided to stay at the close-by Pismo Beach State Park. It was $25 a night without hookups but it was adjacent to the sand dunes and I could hear the ocean from my rig. I was too pooped to really care anyway.
Mission Status for day 10 of 16: Completed 12th and 13th of 21 scheduled attacks for a total of 118.5 miles on the ground and 692 convoy miles.
