We were up early this morning, packed and ready to go. We had quite a long drive back home. We drove all the way from the North Yellowstone Entrance back to the South Entrance of Yellowstone and on to Jackson. It was a little more than 200 miles. Most of our stops on the drive today were to see a few geysers and geothermal pools etc.
The geothermal areas of Yellowstone include several geyser basins as well as other geothermal features such as hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. The number of thermal features in Yellowstone is estimated at 10,000.
We have visited a lot of them before. We didn’t have time to stop a lot today but we did drive through and take a few pictures. We made it back to our RV at about 10 P.M. It was a long drive but the trip was worth every mile. Yellowstone National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth and we enjoyed it very much. This will most likely be our last visit to Yellowstone this summer. Check back later for more adventures from Wyoming and Montana.
