All the suitcases have been packed and weighed - our travel scale lets us know when we have reached the magic limit of fifty pounds. We are missing the good old days when the only restriction on what you could bring seemed to be the amount of goodies you could cram into your suitcase.
We have left our car in a park and fly lot ten minutes from the airport. These lots are a real blessing, not only financially, but in knowing that you will have a place to leave the car. Lots at O'Hare are so crowded these days that you can register for e-mail updates to your phone so you will know whether there is a space left for you. Flying is stressful enough these days without wondering if you will have a place to leave your car.
