We had a very special day today. We drove to Brunswick, GA to have lunch with the (BEST) sister on earth, Betty. We celebrated her birthday at the Japanese Restaurant and enjoyed it much. We didn't have as much time as we would have liked. We had to drive to Charleston and wanted to arrive before dark.
We are visiting little Jerry before he leaves for Las Vegas. We will only have a few days with him in Charleston and are looking forward to our tour of the city together.
When we arrived we had a very pleasant surprise. We had read about the Festival of Lights in Charleston, but didn't realize it was located right in the park where we are staying. We drove through 3 miles of glowing figures with over 2 million lights. We will be making this drive several times and will be adding a lot more photos. I am adding a few today to give you an idea of how awesome it is.
We have a lot of exploring to do in Charleston. More later from South Carolina.
